The factory, located in Sanand on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, was constructed in the 1980s. The hall was a dim and somber space filled with heavy machinery, producing loud noises day and night. The facade had peeling plaster, and only narrow streams of light entered through small windows.
The design intervention revitalizes the facade by incorporating long French windows, illuminating the interior and introducing an industrial design element. The color scheme is thoughtfully chosen to complement the lush greenery in front of the building, without overpowering the surroundings.
This addition brings a fresh and vibrant appearance to the building, in line with the style of late modern factory architecture.
