The Community and Educational Centre is located in Shantipura, a coastal region near Gir Sanctuary in Gujarat.

 

Over the last decades, the land has been heavily challenged by monoculture and harmful farming techniques. Under the Forest Department of Gujarat, a prototype of permacultural farming and education, along with a Community Centre, is to be created.

 

The rich variety of plantation surrounds the individually placed building units, which are connected through a path following the waterlines of the land. The aim is to create a space to experience the nature and diverse natural wealth of the site itself, with built structures subordinate to nature.
