Shivani Khatri & Jakob Julian Nuernberger, principal architects and former college colleagues, began their collaborative journey in 2014 with early successes in design competitions, including first prizes in the Pepperfry furniture design competition and Asian Paints' D-Door competition, alongside exhibitions and competition entries at DWIH New Delhi, CEPT University Ahmedabad, Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Technical University Munich and Volume Zero Magazine.

Graduates of CEPT University Ahmedabad and Technical University Munich respectively, the two established Meeresgrün Design Pvt. Ltd., operating under the name INPUT-A, in 2018 to formalize their architectural practice. Over the years, their work gradually expanded beyond architecture into interior and exhibition design.

Shivani's creative and intuitive approach to spatial design complements Jakob's technical and precision oriented understanding of space planning. Together, they continue to explore the intersections of different design disciplines, expanding their practice beyond conventional boundaries.

The Practice

INPUT-A is an Ahmedabad-based design practice working across architecture, interiors and exhibitions. Our office follows a flexible and largely remote working model, bringing together architects, designers and independent professionals from India and abroad. Each collaborator contributes their individual experience, skills and perspective, working from different locations and coming together according to the requirements of each project.

This structure allows us to work across disciplines without being limited to a fixed team or geographical location. The principal architects coordinate the design process and remain personally involved in each project, from the initial concept through detailed planning and execution.

By combining independent collaboration with a shared approach to design, we aim to create a working environment that values professional freedom, individual expertise and collective responsibility.
